We enjoyed our one night here, just a short distance from the castle. Our partial sea view room turned out to have what really felt like a full castle view. The staff were incredibly friendly and showed us to our room, and breakfast was tasty and very reasonably priced. My wife and I would recommend it.

The rooms were spotless, comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, and we really liked the relaxed feel of the hotel. The exterior might put you off, but it’s being fully refurbished, and the interior work already done looks like it will make this a stunning place. There’s no working kitchen yet, so food isn’t available. The hotel isn’t fully running, so I haven’t rated the service, though I bet it’ll deserve five stars once it is. I’d love to come back when the refurbishment is finished, and I wish them well.

Avoid booking this hotel. Even when you cancel within the proper timeframe, neither the hotel nor booking.com will issue a refund. It feels like a scam run through booking.com.

A great base for our little trip around Wales. The sea was within walking distance, and there were good nearby places to have dinner with the family.

We stayed in the cove apartment, where a lovely lady greeted us with a complimentary drink. It was clean and modern, with a subtle nautical look and great sea views. Local amenities are very close, and there’s parking at both the front and rear. Would recommend.
