We found this lovely, quirky converted barn at the last minute and had a really wonderful stay. The views are gorgeous, and the sunset while we were there was amazing. The hostess made us feel so welcome, and the room worked well for us with a four-year-old and a newborn. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was the best we’ve ever had at a B&B. You can hear other guests through the thin walls, though it didn’t really affect our stay.

At Bowhayes Farm, mornings come with birdsong and lovely views, and there’s no traffic noise. It’s a remarkable place to unwind and recharge, and we really didn’t want to leave. The guest cottage is beautifully restored, with bright, spacious bedrooms, a cosy lounge, comfortable beds, quality linen and thick, fluffy towels. Guests are treated like royalty, and the horses and dogs are clearly cared for with love and respect. The special ‘horse therapy’ is available too. We stayed with family in September 2014.

Lucinda and Joff were so friendly and accommodating. The venue itself is beautiful, and would be perfect for an intimate wedding or function.

A friendly little oasis.
