The views are lovely, and there’s a dog-walking area with local trails nearby. Highland cattle graze in the next fields, and Rhug farm shop, with its Bison herd, is only a short walk away. Billy, the site manager, welcomed us and was great to chat with. He explained the facilities, including the very good toilet, shower and pot-washing block. The pitches are level, hard standing and fully serviced.

We spent two nights here in our 7m camper, and the young calves playing in the next field were a joy to watch. Billy met us at the gate and made us feel really welcome. He keeps the site immaculate and the facilities very clean, while giving us space and staying available if we needed anything. We’d happily come back and can highly recommend it. Thanks, Billy.

The shower blocks were clean, with lovely showers, and the whole site is very well kept. Billy was friendly and welcoming, and checked in with us before we left to make sure we were happy. The neighbours are gorgeous and very well behaved, as the picture shows, lol. We’d definitely recommend the site and stay again.

We stayed at Gaerhyfryd caravan park in mid July 2025, and my twin sister and her husband came along too. They loved the place as much as we did and plan to return. It’s a pretty site and not too big, with clean facilities. Billy really stood out as a warden: helpful, cheerful and more accommodating than any we’ve dealt with. We’ll definitely be back too. Billy gave us a warm welcome, and the site was easy to find. It’s spotlessly clean, with great hot, powerful showers and a separate area where you can keep your clothes dry. We’ll definitely return.
