The room was spacious and very clean, with a really large, comfortable bed. I usually struggle to sleep away from home, but slept well here. We heard nothing from the pub below. The manager was friendly and helpful, and there was a fan and hairdryer to use. It’s close to all amenities, and there’s a simple key drop box for when you leave while the pub is closed. My one small concern was the lack of a bath mat. I’m older and worried about slipping in the shower. I’d definitely stay again.

Such a good atmosphere in this pub, even though it’s not big. There are live bands on Sundays, and The Glamz were exceptional last night. I loved it and just hope someone takes over the lease. X

The room was comfortable and clean, and Dan was a fantastic host. I also liked the cozy pub downstairs and its nice selection. There’s no kitchen at the moment because the place is under new ownership, but everything else was excellent. It was easy to walk to the AD122 bus for exploring Hadrian’s Wall. I had a great three-night stay and would definitely come back if I return to Hexham.

The pub has reopened after refurbishment, and its old character is still there, with some thoughtful improvements. It’s still well worth a visit. This had always been one of my favourite pubs in Hexham, and this was my first time back.

The pub was great, and the beds were comfy. Chris and the team made us feel very welcome during our overnight stop while cycling Hadrian’s Wall. Perfect place to stay.
