Parking takes a little figuring out, but there are spots very close by and the staff were really helpful. I stayed in a double room on 17 January 2026; both the room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10 at the sister hotel across the road, just a two-minute walk away. There was fruit and cornflakes as well as a very good full English. The woman looking after the breakfast room was awesome. I’d gladly return.

The rooms were spacious and really good, and the whole team made us feel welcome from the start. It was just what we wanted for a weekend away at the races. Thanks for looking after us so well. See you next year.

We had a very good supper and breakfast across the road. Back in the hotel, the welcome was lovely, and our room and bathroom were spotless and warm. It was a bit too warm, but easy to turn down. The bed was comfortable, and I’d certainly stay again.

The sister hotel across the road served a brilliant breakfast. Our room was in really good shape and very clean, and the welcome was lovely. They also shared a nice bit of the building’s history. There was a little street noise, which makes sense above a pub on the main high street. I’d definitely come back.

A great traditional British pub for watching people or sheltering from the rain. It’s just a short walk from the bus station, and the atmosphere was lovely. The friendly staff poured a perfect pint and had a few laughs with me. I’ll definitely stop in on my next trip to Hexham.
