The hostel was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff. Breakfast offered a good range, and there were several food options plus a small bar. The bar was only open for a limited time on the day we stayed. There’s a good drying room and a decent sized secure bike store, and it’s a short walk into town. The beds are basic and the mattresses firm. If you want an extra pillow, ask before reception shuts at half past seven. Corridor lights can’t be switched off and shine through the gap under the door. I’d happily stay again, but would bring an eye mask and ask for another pillow when checking in.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff friendly. It’s a short walk from Hawes centre. The car park is small, but there’s plenty of parking on the adjoining road. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

Showers were good and hot, and the self catering kitchen and lounge were both really nice. There’s only one plug socket for four people in the room, though, and the bunks are awkward for adults to climb into and out of.

I stayed here while walking The Herriot Way, and it was just the right stop for us. The kitchen was well stocked, the sofas were comfy, and the staff were really kind and friendly. Showers were warm, and breakfast was delicious with a vegan option.

They let us check in a little early so we could get out for the day, which was excellent. The rooms were super clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchens were well equipped and had everything we needed, plus free tea and coffee with milk available. It felt warm and safe, with great views.
