We’d checked with the property through Booking.com about whether our reservation was going ahead and only got replies that seemed automatic. When we arrived at the address, we found what looked like an abandoned building, with rubbish around it, dirty covered windows and neglected grounds. It wasn’t even operating as a hotel. It’s shocking that Booking.com allowed us to book it. We had to find somewhere else at the last minute, which cost more and was a real inconvenience. I was glad we got there at check-in time, because I wouldn’t have felt safe in that area after dark without anywhere to stay. I’d upload photos to show the condition of the place if I could.
