Holiday Inn A55 Chester West by IHG

The rooms were spacious and clean, though a fridge would've been useful while travelling with babies. The reception team were lovely, and the breakfast staff were professional, polite and very gentle. I'd have given five stars for the staff alone. We stayed over the early May bank holiday while looking for an IHG near the Elan valley, and this seemed the closest option. The chefs wouldn't warm our baby's sealed food, which caused unnecessary stress. Apart from that, everything went well and we'll definitely return.

Jules's traditional Full English was so good I'd come back just for that, and Garman was happy to dash around the restaurant to make sure everyone had what they needed. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and well kept, and the quiet, dark room made for a really restful night. We were travelling through from New Zealand and stayed at the Holiday Inn A55 over Xmas. After such a long journey, paying an extra 20 pounds to check in a few hours early was disappointing, hence the four stars. Still, it was a comfortable stay.

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, but a few room issues took the shine off what should've been a pleasant break. It was very hot even with the thermostat turned all the way down, and opening the window brought in noise from smokers gathered outside near reception. There weren't enough outlets, and having nowhere by the bed to charge my phone was annoying since I use it as a clock. The room itself was clean and well equipped.

Gary and Jacquee made me feel at home throughout my stay, whether they were sorting out requests, sharing advice or just stopping for a friendly chat. They're naturally attentive and made everything run smoothly. From the moment I arrived, they were welcoming, friendly and ready to help with a smile. The service from both of them really stood out. I stayed at the Premier Inn A55 in England and would happily return. Thanks to Gary and Jacquee for making it memorable.
