Elagh Cottages

The evenings were whisper quiet, with fantastic views over the city. Dongeals spectacular scenery is only five minutes away, and the city is five minutes in the other direction. We spent five nights at Elagh Cottages with the family and couldn’t have asked for more from a holiday rental. We’d stay again without a problem, and probably will.

The cottage was spotless and had exactly what we needed. The views were amazing, and there were two friendly donkeys hanging around outside. It’s about a ten-minute drive to Derry and only minutes from the border. We’ll come back if we’re in the area again!

The morning view was stunning, and the little cottage outside Derry was cosy and clean. The owners were really friendly. When we come back go Derry, we’d stay here again.

Karen was the best part of our weekend at Elagh Cottages. She went out of her way to make us comfortable, brought round a bottle of bubbly to congratulate my wife on passing her nursing degree, arranged a taxi, and gave us great tips for a night out since we didn’t know Derry. The apartment was immaculate, lovely and warm, and had hot water on demand with the gas. We came with friends to celebrate, and it was even better than we expected. It’s reasonably priced, quiet just outside the city centre, and has beautiful views. I wouldn’t hesitate to return, and I’d recommend anyone visiting Derry check it out. You won’t be disappointed!
