We arrived soaked to the bone, and Tonya and Chris kindly made sure we had a warm room and even put together a special breakfast for us because of our meat fest. They also shared useful information for our road trip. The bedroom was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, and parking on the street was easy. They were wonderful hosts and took great care of us. We’d definitely stay again!
Breakfast this morning was amazing, and the room was spotless, warm and comfortable. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and Eugene had great music playing in the adjoining lounge bar. Tonya was so pleasant, and the hospitality made us feel like family. Breakfast was included and felt like much more than the usual buffet, with eggs cooked to order. The room was clean and the welcome comfortable. We’d certainly recommend a visit, though it’s a shame we live so far away.
My husband and I chose the Iona Inn for our first trip to Ireland in September, and we can’t say enough nice things about it. It’s quaint, and the staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and we looked forward to it each day. Getting into the building was easy, and shops, restaurants and the train station are all within walking distance. We’ll definitely stay here on our next trip to Derry.
It’s across the river, but still walkable to the Peace Bridge and not far from the Free Derry Museum. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little dated, and breakfast was good.
