The meal and service were outstanding on our busy Friday evening treat at the G&D. Every member of staff was attentive, and we didn’t want for anything. My wife and I both enjoyed it. The food was very good, though my steak was a little underdone for the medium I asked for. That may just be my preference. Next time, and there will be one, I’ll order medium well done.

They were so helpful at the George & Dragon in Rowde, even giving me a lift to my event in Devizes. I’d booked a room while I was in town for it, and the room was clean, lovely and homely, with a very comfortable bed. They couldn’t do enough for me, and I had a superb supper of Seabream. Highly recommend.

We stopped in for a meal on the last evening of our holiday, and I’m so glad we did. The food was exceptional, and the staff made us feel really welcome, like regulars. Nothing seemed like too much trouble, and the service was fantastic. Keep up the great work, guys!

We celebrated a Birthday here and had a really happy experience. The Sea food platter was amazing, and the fish dishes we chose were fresh and full of flavour. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome, with fast service too.

Room 1 had loads of character and was nicely decorated. Chippy and Syd were excellent hosts, and we’ll definitely return for another stay. The menu is amazing, especially for seafood lovers. Both the food and service were really good.
