The owners were warm and friendly, and pointed us towards a perfect walk nearby. The garden is gorgeous, the views are wonderful, and the setting is so peaceful, it’d be ideal for a personal retreat. I wish we could have stayed longer. Getting to the B&B by car is quite an adventure, up a narrow hill with walls on both sides, but you get used to it quickly.

The little lane up to the place is steep, as is the driveway, so be prepared for that. The room was small but pretty, with a four-poster bed and a duvet that felt like sleeping under a cloud. There was a lovely large bathroom with a walk-in shower, and the owner was friendly and chatty. Breakfast had cereal and toast, plus a couple of cooked choices. My only real gripes were that there was nowhere to sit and do my makeup. A dressing table and chair with a decent mirror would be better than the wicker sofa. Otherwise, I’d stay again and recommend it.

It’s only a short walk to Dolgellau town centre, and the house and grounds are stunning. The whole place was spotless, with kind, friendly hosts and lots of thoughtful touches. Breakfast was hot, tasty and made with really good ingredients, and the WiFi was excellent. We’ll definitely rebook. The best B&B we’ve ever stayed in, highly recommended.

Getting up the hill was a bit scary, with those very narrow lanes, but it was worth it. I loved the rooms, views, garden, breakfast and hosts. Everything was first class, and I’d love to go back.
