We only needed a place for the night on our way home, but this turned out to be a real gem. The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a lovely evening meal followed by a really good breakfast. It’s a lively, distinctive community pub, and that atmosphere doesn’t take away from the lovely service. Nico the owner was especially helpful when an accident left us unsure until the last minute whether we could stay. FANTASTIQUE. Thanks for looking after us.

We all cleared our plates, even though the portions were so generous I was too full for dessert! The chicken was packed with flavour and the beef was really tender. Sunday roast was delicious, and they were happy to do a smaller portion for an adult and children, which was £14.50. The staff were very friendly, and there are board games to play while you’re there. Definitely worth trying.

We’d only recently moved here when we stopped in on Boxing Day, and the friendly lady serving us made us feel at home. The pub had a really lovely atmosphere, and the Sunday lunch was amazing, with generous portions. Best lunch we’ve ever had. Looking forward to them reopening after their break, we’ll definitely be back.

The staff were all so lovely, and we felt completely welcome at the Rams Head with our 11 month old and our lab. They even put together a tiny roast and dessert for our little one, plus a small plate of meat for the dog. The dinner was delicious, and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks from the family with the fangy baby!

Really good food and service. They were great with our young children and served them sausages and chips from the menu. Highly recommend!
