City Space

I had a lovely, clean family deluxe apartment with a jacuzzi, and it had just about everything you'd need. What it needed was headphones. The central spot is right beside a pub courtyard with live DJ sets, and the noise went on until the early hours.

We were told the hot tub listed among the amenities was the same thing as the jacuzzi bath. It clearly isn't, and there was no hot tub. Music blasted so loudly it shook our bed until 1 am every night, then started again at 9 am, even though the room was listed as “soundproofed.” On our last morning, we woke at 5 am to the fire alarm. We don't know how long it had been going off before we woke. The property manager didn't answer our call, then messaged at 9:30 am offering a complimentary night. We declined and asked for £90 for one night to be refunded instead, but they refused. There was no hairdryer or microwave, and one bed cushion had a white substance on it. After we turned down the free night at this horrible place, they told booking.com that we had “cancelled” and never checked in, even though we stayed the full two nights. That meant we couldn't leave a review there. Sneaky and disgusting behaviour from a company. Avoid.

A spacious, super central family suite, spotless and modern with stylish decor. The jacuzzi bath and excellent WiFi were great too. Such a good find!

Parking was available, which was perfect, and the clean, very nice place was right in the centre of Doncaster. I had a perfect stay. The bed quality was the one thing I wasn't keen on; everything else was great.
