The room we had was amazing, and the staff were friendly. It’s close to town, with the racecourse a quick bus ride away or a 15-20 minute walk. Breakfast costs £9 for a full English and is a good meal. I personally didn’t like the sausage or that the mushrooms were deep-fried, but that’s just my taste. Still five stars, and I’ll definitely stay again.

Free parking was a nice bonus, and the town centre is only a 5-10 minute stroll away. The staff were down to earth, warm, and welcoming. My room was spacious, spotless, and well equipped, with an amazing shower. I’m usually wary of hotel, guest house, and B&B beds because they can feel like cardboard, but I honestly haven’t slept this well in ages.

The place was spotless and in a lovely spot. We spent two nights here, and our host was so friendly, going out of their way to sort out any issues. A beautiful hotel, definitely recommend it.

We’ve paid a little less at big chain hotels before, usually by £2-£15, but Kellett Hotel is much more comfortable and better quality. The room was cosy and really clean, with a great bed and an amazing shower. There’s free WiFi and USB ports in the sockets, too. It’s on the main road, though the good windows kept the noise down. The owner welcomed us warmly and was completely professional. We’ll definitely come back.

The bus stop is nearly right outside, and getting to the town centre, shops and places to eat is easy on foot or by bus. If you’re visiting, keep an eye out for your stop: local buses don’t announce them. I missed mine, but there was another stop a couple of blocks away. My room was clean, nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. I booked a single and got a welcome upgrade, which gave me more space. Check-in was straightforward, although the two front doors are a little confusing at first. They both open into the same lobby, and the right-hand one has the doorbell. There was some wear and tear, probably from the end of peak season. The manager knew about it and planned repairs soon, so it may be sorted for future stays. I skipped breakfast and extras. Good value, and I’d stay again.
