The carvery was such a good surprise: chef Andy had a great selection of vegetables, and the meat was amazing. We’d come back to the pub after working nearby and Daniella, the general manager, had already made us feel welcome when she checked us in early and showed us to our room. Later, even though the pub was closing, she invited us to stay for a few drinks. Our room was modern and cosy, and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up the next morning. We had to finish a few work things, then returned for the carvery. I can’t fault the place and highly recommend staying.

We didn’t make it out to the beer garden since it was nighttime. The pub had good music from 'Burning Bridges', and £2.95 for a pint of Carlsberg was a bargain. I’ll definitely go again if I’m nearby.

We had the carvery today and loved it, as did the kids. The hostess was so welcoming and friendly. Make sure you try the crumble too, it’s delicious.

That thick gravy is proper good, and there’s loads of veg to choose from. The cabbage is out of this world. This was our second carvery and it keeps getting better. We tried dessert this week too, and the apple crumble is elite 👌 Dani makes everyone feel welcome and has been a game-changer for the pub. Excellent food, service, and price made for a winning Sunday. Thanks to the Sydney team! 😊

We stayed one night because we were working at a nearby wedding, and the clean, spacious room had the most comfortable bed ever, like sleeping on a cloud. Daniella, the general manager, was incredibly welcoming and friendly. After our shift the pub was still open, so we had a few drinks there, and the prices were good. The next day we finally got to try the carvery. The meat was soft and tasty, the veggie portions were huge, and the gravy was delicious. We’ll definitely stay again. Can’t recommend the place enough.
