Gatton Manor Hotel & Country club

I didn’t stay at the hotel, just played golf. For the price, it’s a must-play, with some really scenic holes. The fairways and greens were in very good condition, and there’s a nice grass driving range plus short game and putting practice areas. I’d highly recommend it.

The course was amazing, and we’ll definitely be back. Sam and Tina gave us great customer service, and we got a lovely welcome with coffee and bacon rolls ready for us. I had to change quite a few things in the run-up to our society golf day at Gatton Manor. Hats off to Sam for being understanding and sorting out the food, refunds and everything else so promptly and professionally. Thanks again, guys, you made our day. Played in July 24 and will be back. The layout is fantastic, with plenty of features to think your way around, including water and sloping fairways. The greens were in great condition and ran fast, with challenging pin positions. The tee boxes could have been a little flatter, but that’s my only criticism. Top-notch course.

A lovely course with a good variety of holes. Water, woods, trees and banks make it quite testing. The clubhouse was closed for refurbishment, there was no halfway house, and all the greens were under maintenance, but we knew about that and got a discount. Would recommend it, and we’ll be back soon.
