Churchill Guest House

This charming 200-year-old building has nicely furnished rooms with a quaint, luxurious feel, and the beds are very comfortable. The hosts sent several emails beforehand with details about the stay and were very welcoming. There's also a well-stocked self-catering kitchenette, so you can prepare your own breakfast and clean up afterward. Highly recommended!

Alex made us feel right at home, and was helpful with local sights as well as travel arrangements. He arranged transport and printed the documents we needed for our cruise from Dover. We stayed in the spacious, clean and charming Victoria Suite, which also had an adjoining patio. We loved our time at the Churchill Guest House and only wish we'd had longer. We have plenty of reasons to come back.

The hotel is close to both the cliffs and the castle, and our room was clean with plenty of amenities to choose from, some for a small extra fee, which was fine. Alex was kind, responsive, friendly and approachable, and went above and beyond for guests. I booked for a few days and honestly, it was completely worth it. Short or long stay, I'd use the place again and definitely recommend it. Thanks, Alex, for making our Dover visit comfortable and happy.

Our family of four stayed in the Sarah Apartment and had room both to spread out and to get together for a late-night card game. It was beautifully done, with welcoming touches and everything we needed while travelling. The location is hard to beat, within an easy walk of the train, ferry, restaurants, Dover Castle and the White Cliffs hike. Alex was thoughtful from the start, bringing us a fresh bowl of fruit, and helped several times when we couldn't work out calling a taxi or the best way to walk to the ferry. His tips on places to eat and visit were spot on. One of our favourite stops on the trip, and we can't recommend it enough!
