KVM - Sugar Way House

The rooms were the worst part: mine had what looked like bodily fluids on the bedding and unknown stains on both sides of the pillows. Other guests found black mould, dust, damage and rotting insects in their rooms and shared areas. The property also had no fire equipment, and the general cleanliness could put people with health issues at risk. At first glance, there didn’t seem to be many problems beyond undisclosed, unmarked CCTV, but a closer look showed more. I came with friends hoping for a great holiday and it turned into a nightmare. I’d rate it 0-10 if I could, and hope the issues are fixed before it’s rented again.

There was black mould in several rooms and stained flooring. The hosts hadn’t disclosed the CCTV, despite the Airbnb community policy saying cameras should be clearly identified and guests told before booking, and they actively used it to spy on us. When we complained and asked for a resolution, management wouldn’t listen and rudely hung up. They claim the place is cleaned before each guest checks in, but we saw no proof of that. If you care about your health and wellbeing, I’d strongly avoid this place. Don’t stay with them.

I stayed here some time ago, and it wasn’t a good experience. The host wasn’t cooperative.

Mouldy and disgusting, with no fire extinguishers. Don’t stay here.
