Hadley Bowling Green Inn

Chris and Callum from the Management Team were kind and helpful. They knew my mother had passed away the week before and kindly helped move our booking to fit our needs, which meant a lot. Everyone at the venue was welcoming and professional. We had dinner and breakfast at the Inn, and both the ingredients and presentation were excellent. The pub, restaurant and rooms were stylish, spotless and well run. We look forward to staying at The Hadley Bowling Green again. Thanks for an enjoyable visit.

I needed somewhere to stay for two days while my house was being renovated, and chose this hotel because I remembered drinking there years ago. The facilities were good and I had no complaints about them. Staff were courteous and attentive, and breakfast had the expected range of options. The evening meals weren't really to my taste, though that's personal preference. Wine was quite expensive and the beer selection was limited. A good experience, if not a great one, but several of those points are subjective.

Late February, and there was a roaring fire, so I went for the pie with mash and greens. It was tasty, and the service was just right for our family gathering. There was a great choice of pre-dinner drinks to go with the menu. The team made it a special memory, one we'd like to repeat. Maybe we'll book a room next time. It was our first visit, and the place lived up to its great reputation. Historic and cosy in a traditional rural setting, we were greeted warmly and looked after well.

A lovely old pub with rooms, tucked away like a hidden gem. The staff were lovely, breakfast had a good choice, and parking was free. My room was big, clean, quiet, airy and modern, and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended.
