The homemade scone and Highland cow cupcake were lovely, and Henry thought the cupcake was amazing. The picnic felt thoughtful and personal, and spending time with the cows made it even more special. It was clear how well loved and cared for they are. We had a relaxing afternoon looking out over Loch Ness with the Highland cows nearby. Mateus and Isla were so warm, friendly, and clearly passionate about their work. They made everyone feel welcome. It was one of our favorite moments in Scotland, and we left with happy memories. I'd recommend it to anyone, without hesitation.

The view is lovely, and the staff were all gracious and friendly, but the experience itself wasn't special. Ten people packed into a small room with top hits playing did not make for a great atmosphere, and I didn't enjoy the meet and greet either. More room for the number of visitors would help. At £55, about $75 with the exchange, the afternoon tea felt mediocre and wasn't worth the price. Everything tasted bland apart from the cupcake.

The cows were sweet, and feeding them made the visit worthwhile. I would recommend coming to meet them, though I might skip the afternoon tea menu next time and order from the à la carte options instead. The food and drinks there looked and smelled delicious. We paid £55 for two people, which included mocktails, sandwiches, tea, and a dessert tower. The sandwiches came in four flavors, but altogether there was only about 1.5-2 sandwiches on white bread per person. The desserts were a cupcake, scone, shortbread, and chocolate-covered crisps. We enjoyed the food, desserts, and tea, though the scone was a little doughy and underbaked. I was really excited beforehand, so I left a bit disappointed. I'd read the price and agreed to it, but expected more tea variety and more attentive service. For black tea, we were offered only Earl Grey and English Breakfast. Our plates were never cleared, and we didn't get teaspoons. That's a small thing, but I expected them at afternoon tea. I only saw two waitresses, including ours, and I understand they were busy and doing their best.

The view was lovely, and the staff were very nice and efficient, though they seemed to be rushing everywhere. The afternoon tea was pleasant, but I expected more for the price. We all felt sick afterwards. It has become an Instagram place, I guess. Feeding the cow was okay. I went to Ness Farm the next day and preferred that visit. It was less popular and seemed more peaceful for the animals.

Picnic with the Coos was a real highlight of our trip. Check the dates and book ahead. We had a proper Scottish day for weather, so dress for it, and expect things to be a bit muddy. Mattias was great, showing us the animals and chatting about life with them. Highly recommend!
