We only went to the pub and didn’t stay overnight. The waitress did a great job looking after our group of eight while also handling all the other customers on her own. The pub is a nice, old-fashioned place, though its website gave the wrong opening time and we waited outside for about 15 minutes. Food was a mixed bag. The burger was decent, the duck breast was nicely cooked, and the sticky toffee pudding was excellent. But the burger came with cold chips, and the roast was missing the cauliflower cheese and red cabbage listed on the menu. The vegetables seemed frozen, the roast potatoes were badly cooked, the gravy was watery, and the mash was cold. The bread and butter pudding was dry, and the apple crumble was disappointing. Some of our group had enjoyed eating here before, but not this time.
