The Farmers Inn

The three of us, my husband, my father-in-law and I, had such a lovely couple of days here. The place was beautiful, everyone made us feel welcome, and both the room and the food were excellent. Thank you!

The food was lovely and there was a good choice of drinks, but our Saturday visit was upsetting to watch. We had booked for 7 and the barmaid showed us to our table. Then the owner, I assume, moved us away after shouting and swearing at her. We stood by the bar while she made our drinks, looking really upset, though she still served them with a smile and kept working. After handing out food, she burst into tears, apparently after being shouted at in the kitchen. I know people can get frustrated when it's busy, but taking it out on one person isn't fair. Managers should treat their staff with respect. She kept working hard despite being upset, and deserves credit for that. Kindness costs nothing. Take a breath and speak to staff respectfully.

The countryside setting was lovely, with amazing views across the hills. Inside, the room was spacious and had a very powerful shower. I also really enjoyed the food and the beers, and had a great stay.

The pub was such a cosy, gorgeous old place, and Colin was a lovely landlord and host. We really enjoyed the food and drinks, and breakfast the next morning was plentiful and tasty. We stayed on the way home from Perth to North Wales. Our room was modern, clean and tidy, and the shower was the most powerful I've ever used. A really lovely stay, and I'd recommend this hidden gem.
