We wanted somewhere quiet for two nights, and the tucked-away spot here worked well, with the high street about a five-minute walk away. The station is also close, and taxis came promptly. Staff were polite and helpful throughout. Our hot tub room had lovely views, and the tub was welcome after all the walking, though the room could use some TLC: the headboard and table were stained, paint had been patched, the curtains may need replacing, and the decking could do with oil. Dinner was delicious, especially the fish and chips, and breakfast topped it, with a mouth-watering full Scottish and a stunning eggs Benedict. We'd recommend it and hope to return.

We had a lovely afternoon in the conservatory, looking out over the moody Firth, and the staff were friendly and checked in on us. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with five teas to choose from, each brought in a pretty pot. It began with an amuse bouche and a choice of Chef's soup or sorbets. The savoury tier had crawfish croissant, avocado focaccia, spicy haggis wellington, and a BLT in a poppy seed roll. Desserts were exquisite, especially the chocolate mousse served in a little plant pot with chocolate and cashew soil. The menu had plenty of variety. We'll be back.

The restaurant was a highlight: we had dinner one evening and afternoon tea another day, and both were fantastic. The tea was among the best I've had, with portions so generous we couldn't finish, and the sea view made it even nicer. Our hot tub room was calm and cozy, with a great outlook over the cliffs and sea, and the tub was just the right temperature. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were kind and helpful. They even looked after our bags on the last day while we had one last stroll around Dunbar. The bathroom could have used a deeper clean, perhaps because its ventilation wasn't working, though I should have mentioned that to staff. We stayed three nights and would definitely return.

The lemon sorbet starter was a favorite, and the food was wonderful. We came for Mother's Day afternoon tea at 2pm, and the table was laid out beautifully. The sun was very bright in the room, which could use blinds, and curtains would make it cozier in the evenings. Some parts of the room need updating, and better staff uniforms would have been nice. Still, we had a lovely tea.

The food was very good, and the staff were excellent and friendly. I liked the hot tub and its sea view, though there was a blonde woman in the room above watching, and I thought she might want to come down. The room felt a bit worn, with a wonky floor, flaking paint, and a toilet seat hanging off. I'd stay again for one night with dinner and breakfast, but not longer.
