This was the best self-catering stay we’ve ever had. The facilities were spacious, well equipped, and spotlessly clean, and communication before we arrived was welcoming and accommodating. It’s peaceful, with lovely views, and a large Asda is only a short drive away for anything else we needed. We’ll book again, though I’m almost reluctant to leave such a glowing review in case it makes it harder to get a booking. That one-star rating has no justification at all, unless it came from an envious local B&B owner.

The chalet was warm and cosy inside, with lovely coastal views, spacious, nicely furnished bedrooms, a big bath and an en suite wet room. We visited family staying there and used the CL site with our own caravan. April brought a very wintry week, mostly rain with spells of sleet and snow. We also pulled on our much-needed wellies to walk around the farm and see the sheep with their lambs and the cows with their newborn calves. We always get a friendly welcome here.

The welcome pack was a lovely touch, especially the real farm eggs, and the hosts were very friendly. The accommodation is excellent and the chalet is huge. We had one minor issue, through no one's fault: a bedside support for disabled guests would be helpful. If it were closer to home, I'd swap it for our disabled bungalow. We'd happily recommend it to disabled guests and everyone else, and we'll be back next year.

SHED WITH A BED!!! I wouldn't recommend this place. The poor insulation made it extremely cold, and the shed-like building let in every little bit of outside noise. Wind kept rattling the windows, so I barely slept during my stay. Even earplugs from the nearby Asda didn't stop me being woken up a lot. It wasn't clean either. After a few days I had to ask for cleaning products so I could clean the bathroom. There was so much dust and debris under the main bedroom bed that opening the window blew it across the laminate floor. I paid ££250 for the week, and it wasn't worth it. I wouldn't stay here again.

My friends and I had a great time here. The chalet was finished to a really high standard, and we were all very happy with it. It's a lovely spot in a great part of Scotland, and well worth the money. I'd recommend it to anyone after a wee getaway.
