Sarah made me feel more like family than a hotel guest. She chatted with everyone and remembered that, because of my arthritis, I needed scissors for my marmalade. Sarah and the other staff were always smiling and willing to help. Even with renovation work going on, they did all they could to keep guests comfortable. I had dinner one evening and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Breakfast was self-service and very good, though trays would have been useful. Room 439 was spotless, with a comfortable bed, great shower, Dove toiletries, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, TV and tea and coffee. The lifts were quick, and security doors on each floor gave access to the rooms. Shops are only a two-minute walk away. Excellent stay, and I'd happily recommend it and return.

The central spot, beside bus stops and the train station, made it easy to get around, and the centre was only a few minutes away. The hotel was clean and modern, with a nicely presented reception and breakfast area, even if it wasn't very large. Breakfast had lots of options, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room and bathroom were clean and odour-free, aside from some small floor stains. A friendly handyman quickly sorted out a toilet issue. The room had the usual things like an iron and hairdryer. We were nearest the street, though, and could hear noise overnight, so the soundproofing could be better. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it.

Volga's ever-present smile helped us feel special, and manager Bill made our 52nd wedding anniversary celebration memorable. He gave us a lovely card with warm congratulations and very emotional wording on behalf of the whole "TEAM", along with chocolates. Staff throughout were welcoming, cheerful and helpful. They offered an easy-access room for my disabled wife, and booked us a taxi when we left. Holiday Inn Express Dundee is bright, modern and well equipped, with toiletries available if you've forgotten to pack any. We had a wonderful stay, and I'd recommend it to family and friends. The Christmas lights and decorations made the hotel look truly magical. Yan, Thomas and Yulia were so welcoming and helped us find the food we wanted. They even offered plates, cutlery and other things, although they weren't providing the food. I hadn't expected the decor, central location or such amazing service tonight. They deserve a lot of credit. Well done 🎉🎉

The room was clean and lovely, and the staff were really helpful. I'd stay again. Only four stars for the room because the hairdryer quit after a minute.
