We’ll remember the wildlife and that swim by the coast for a long time. We spotted red squirrels, deer and hares, and even saw a seal pop up while we were swimming. The gardens and grounds were beautiful, and the quiet made it feel as though we had the place to ourselves. The heatwave meant we could make the most of them, too. Cutlar’s Lodge felt like home as soon as we arrived. It’s beautifully decorated, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Our dog was made especially welcome, which meant a lot to us. The older kids loved the games room, and we’ve made family memories here that we’ll treasure. Thanks for such a special stay. We can’t wait to come back.

The wildlife and views were a real treat, and we enjoyed wandering by the loch, through the wildflower meadow and past the sculptures. We also spent a few happy games of pool in the games room. The cottage was very clean, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. We weren’t used to cooking on an Aga, so that took some getting used to, and meals took a little longer, but we managed fine. We left with happy memories.

The walk through the gardens to the shoreline was a highlight, with red squirrels, hares, deer and birds around us. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the coast and nearby forests make this a good base for exploring. We found the information provided really helpful. Abbotsway was cosy and comfortable from the moment we stepped inside, with everything we needed. It was also spotlessly clean and tidy.

We spent a relaxing stay at Orroland, helped along by lovely spring weather. The house is comfortable, charming and well equipped, and the setting is peaceful. We enjoyed evening strolls around the grounds and down to the shoreline. There’s plenty to do nearby, and the digital guidebook has the information you need.

The walk through the grounds, past wild garlic and bluebells, down to the shoreline was idyllic. Auchengashell Cottage was a great fit for our gathering of eight adults, young and less young. It was spotless and well set up for a big group. We especially appreciated the plentiful logs for the fire and the pool room. A fantastic place in a beautiful corner of Scotland.
