The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the food was great. The staff kept a friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. We arrived yesterday with a large touring group from America, and the team even helped us sort out parking for two large coaches. Anthea gave us a bubbly, polite welcome and made sure we were looked after right away. Then we ran into a payment issue with the tour company. Abigail handled several difficult calls with them professionally and resolved all our concerns. She couldn’t have been more helpful. Thanks to Anthea, Abigail, and the whole team!

The rooms were very nice and the staff pleasant. We ate in the bar, where the food came hot and was good and filling. The Gov' enjoyed her fish and chips. I was surprised by how many bhajis and other bits came with my starter. My chicken curry was satisfactory, and we shared a dessert. We did need jumpers, though, because the bar was cold.

Parking was very easy, and the refurbished rooms are in good condition. The air conditioning is straightforward to use and works well. A really good all-round place.

The room was comfortable and the bath was a good size. The continental selection was good, but the main breakfast was disappointing. We expected a buffet, but it was plated to order, which felt awkward if you wanted a little more. The staff were okay, though they could have been more polite. It’s a shame, as we were considering this place for a work breakfast. It was one of the options, but I think it’s out of the running now.
