100 Princes Street

The dining room's castle view is the standout, and the rooms are beautifully designed and comfortable too. What made the stay at 100 Princes spectacular, though, was the team. They handled my aunt's gluten allergy without needing a reminder, and every interaction felt lovely. A gentleman helped with our luggage, while the concierge team smoothly sorted our requests, including package deliveries and finding a Dyson Airwrap. We'll definitely be back.

The hospitality is what stayed with me most. Staff remembered me and made me feel at home in a way that felt real. There was elegance without pretension, which made the weekend feel a bit magical. The rooms were peaceful even facing busy Princes St, and had lovely touches like bathrobes I wanted to stay in all day. Don't miss the second-floor lounge, it's worth spending a whole day there. Breakfast was my favorite meal, with far more than standard continental choices and great flavors. I also loved the afternoon cream tea and an evening trying some of the remarkable whiskey collection. The property is beautifully designed, but the thoughtful, welcoming staff outshone it. I already look forward to returning.

We walked virtually everywhere from this centrally located hotel, close to all the places we wanted to visit. The food was amazing, and the staff made a real difference with their helpfulness, recommendations and care around dietary requirements. The hotel, bar and our room were all gorgeous. Our room had heated bathroom floors and a view of Edinburgh castle. The whole experience felt unlike any other hotel stay, luxurious from the front steps onward. I can see why it has a Michellin key. We enjoyed every moment and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend.

I've stayed at three Edinburgh hotels, and this was the best for location, staff and getting a good night's sleep. The customer service was almost comically kind and polite. I did miss having a gym and sauna, and nearly took off a star for that, but they knew I'd had a rough plane ride and had my room ready very early.
