The only catch is that there are no stairs. The owner had mentioned this, but we missed that detail. Otherwise, it’s an excellent place to stay, very convenient and centrally located, with a view of the castle.

After five hours of rail delays, we arrived in a rainstorm and had to push through festival crowds with our suitcases. The plain, anonymous door at Cordiner's and the concrete steps up to the flat didn’t inspire much confidence. Inside, though, it was bright, clean, airy, and had everything we needed. It’s also in a great spot for exploring Edinburgh. From the top-floor window we could watch the Tattoo each night, an unexpected bonus. We’d definitely book again.

Those little touches in the living room and kitchen are so cute: two small balconies and ceiling windows. The apartment is spacious, bright, and well equipped with bowls, pans, cutlery, and more. It would work well for a short visit or a longer stay.

Great AirBNB location, right in the centre with lots of pubs and other places nearby.

Getting back in the evening can be hard, as the apartment is on the 2nd floor. It’s well equipped, with a dishwasher and washing machine, and there’s a welcome kit with coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, and tablets for both machines. The main downside is the single-glazed windows. Their opening mechanisms let in street noise. 2025-07
