There were only five mugs for an apartment for six to eight people, no hand towels, and the extra towels we asked for weren’t clean. Clothes had been left in the drawers by previous guests. The flooring in the hall and living room was lifting and unsafe, and one bed collapsed. The furniture should be checked for safety.

Please be careful with this property. I booked and lost my money. They asked for a 100 pound advance by message to confirm, so I called and messaged several times to check, but got no reply. I contacted Booking.com repeatedly. They said there had been no disruption from their side and contacted the property, but got no response. I only read the reviews after booking. Don’t book here or pay an advance if they ask.

DO NOT HAND ANY MONEY OVER TO THIS PROPERTY. Like others, I paid a £100 security deposit and haven’t had it returned. I contacted the property and Booking.com, and was told I’d get my money back, but I still haven’t. Has anyone else managed to get their money back?

One part of the experience was fairly negative: they asked for a 100 pound deposit and said it would be returned to the card right away when we left. It came back only two days later, after arguments. When entering the card details, they wanted to ask for a CV code, which they shouldn’t even request. We’re foreigners, so perhaps this is how things are done here, but we aren’t used to it. The service left a negative impression.
