The owners were fantastic, helpful and accommodating, and they really couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast had good choices and was freshly made and cooked. The place is just the right distance from the city, with bus stops an easy walk away on both sides of the road. Bus 43 goes most directly. I’d recommend staying here for a short visit or a longer one.

The room was clean, the service was nice, and they even had snacks and a hair dryer. It felt like an affordable option compared with other places in Edinburgh. It’s a little way from the city centre. The bus stop is just across the street, a one-minute walk, and the ride takes about 20 minutes at £2 per person. If you’re going to more than one place, a day bus pass can save money. We had a great stay.

We slept well, the rooms were quiet, and the hosts were friendly. It’s a lovely, clean guest house with a nice breakfast. It’s beside busy Queensferry Road, where buses go straight into the city.

I’d avoid bringing a motorcycle here. This guesthouse gets targeted by motorcycle thieves quite often, even in daytime. Honestly, I’d strongly advise against taking your bike into Edinburgh at all, since theft is very common.
