We slept really well, and there wasn’t any noise to complain about. When we arrived, the receptionist greeted us kindly and gave us our room key. Upstairs, there were three neatly made beds, comfortable mattresses and a spotless bathroom. The shower pressure was really good compared with some other places in Edinburgh. We had a cup of tea, then walked into the city centre, about 15 minutes away. Staff also gave us nice recommendations for nearby facilities.

We enjoyed our stay in this authentic Victorian house. The bathroom sink tap needs replacing, though, and the mattress seemed just as old as the house, with a big dip in it. I had to put my pillow in the hollow so I wouldn’t hurt my back. Time to retire that mattress and get a new one!

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. There’s off-street parking too. Service was pretty hands-off: we were given a key and told to head next door. No lift, so we had to carry our suitcases up to the third floor. A good option for one night.

For over $200, we got a tiny bedroom with a cramped makeshift bathroom. The room looked nothing like the website photos, and it was old and smelled musty. During our three weeknights there, the only service was having the trash emptied once. There was no way to control the temperature, and the room became warm and stuffy. It was a letdown. Check carefully that you’re getting what you paid for. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was crawling with insects, and I couldn’t relax or feel safe there. Staff were rude when we arrived, too. I’ve sent Bookingcom photos and videos as evidence. No guest should have to stay in those conditions. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had, and I’d strongly advise others against booking this property.
