A good choice for people visiting town, and even better for contractors who need their own space and showers.

A clean, upscale area with lovely harbour and waterfront views, and good bus connections. Alda grocery is about a ten-minute walk away, while blue Harbour cafe is handy for a quick bite. The only drawback is the journey into downtown, around 20 minutes by commute or Uber. A great place to rent when visiting Edinburgh.

For anyone keeping to a budget, staying outside central Edinburgh can make sense, since the city itself is very expensive. This apartment is basic but neat and functional, with amenities for simple cooking. It’s quiet, looks out over the sea, and there’s room for walks plus a play area for pets and children. Buses into the city stop right by the apartment, with services every 15 minutes from early morning until late at night. Markets and places to eat are a five-minute drive away and cover everyday needs. Seafood is the obvious choice nearby. The fish and chips were amazing, and the oysters were fresh and tasty. Hot chocolate is popular, too. It can get very cold, especially in the rain, so bring parkas, raincoats and shoes that can handle wet weather. Edinburgh is expensive, so it’s sensible to keep shopping to a minimum. People are generally friendly, though sometimes there’s indifferent behaviour towards people from ethnicities outside the local group, so be prepared for that. Scotland is worth visiting and exploring. Driving to places like Loch Ness and the highlands is highly recommended. Enjoy the experience!

The transport links were good and the cleaning was okay. There was an ironing board, but no iron. Still, my husband and I weren’t comfortable there, and we were hardly in the apartment during our two-night stay. We were in the same apartment as Rafal G, no 8, floor 5, 22 apartment. It needs updating and wasn’t what either of us expected.

The location is great, close to the sea, quiet and well connected. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were nice. The apartment was clean and in good shape. The kitchen could use a few more things, but what was supplied was enough otherwise. There wasn’t anything else to complain about that couldn’t happen anywhere. Definitely recommend it, especially at that price.
