Craiglockhart Lodge

Getting into the city by transit was easy from this great location. The place matched the booking description, was clean, and had everything we needed. There was also private parking right in front of the house, which was great.

There’s a bus stop just outside the gate, and another across the road, and both take you into central Edinburgh. The photo only showed the living room, but the place also had two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The kitchen was a good size, though we only used it for breakfast. The bathroom was clean and had a nice big shower. We’d definitely recommend it and will be back.

We were in town for work and ended up cooking for ourselves in the well equipped kitchen instead of going out in the evenings. The lodge is stylish, spotlessly clean and finished with lots of care, with everything we needed. It’s in a quiet part of town, yet Edinburgh centre and Murrayfield were still easy to get to. The hosts were fantastic and left us a lovely welcome package. We’d like to return when we’re not working. Highly recommended.

We’ve stayed at the lodge twice now, and the lovely accommodation and wonderful hosts keep bringing us back. It’s in a great area and makes a good base for exploring Edinburgh and further afield. We’ll be back next year. Booking here should make for an enjoyable stay.
