The apartment was super spacious, clean and modern. Destiny were quick to respond to messages and sent useful information before we arrived. Their luggage room was also very handy on both check-in and check-out days. It’s less than a minute’s walk from the West End tram stop. Trams run every few minutes from the airport through the city to the docks area. I’d highly recommend staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to book again on our next visit.
I booked a night away with my wife and my parents, who are in their seventies. I’m 50, and was told that people from Fife or nearby local areas aren’t allowed to stay. I find that unbelievable. The policy just says “no local guests” without clearly explaining what counts as local. I live in Fife, about 30 miles away and in a different council area from Edinburgh, so I booked in good faith, thinking the rule wouldn’t apply to us. Families, couples and older people wanting a quiet night away shouldn’t be treated as a problem because of where they live. It was very disappointing, and the policy needs to be much clearer before people book. Since you’ve replied, are you saying that nobody from Edinburgh or Fife is allowed to book your apartments? Where are people who stay in this country supposed to live?
Reviews calling this place good must be fake. It’s not that good. We were charged 15 euros per night for an extra quilt, despite booking for two adults. The bathroom fan was really poor, leaving water and moisture throughout the apartment for hours after a shower. Don’t leave makeup in the bathroom, or your powder products will be ruined. The doorframes are rotting from the moisture. There was no dishbrush, and the pan was too big for the dishwasher.
The bathroom was a particular highlight, with lots of space and plenty of tissue. The apartment itself was roomy and had everything we needed, and the facilities were impressive. I spent two nights here in Edinburgh and had a great experience thanks in part to the excellent location. I’d definitely recommend it.
The location made it easy to walk to Edinburgh castle and all the main attractions. We felt lucky to find it, and it was excellent value for money. If I could rate it 11 out of 10, I would. This is the best apartment I’ve ever visited, and it’s bigger than most apartments in Edinburgh. Every room was perfectly clean. The comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with everything in it, and lovely sitting room all made for a great stay. The kitchen had everything we needed. I’d recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Edinburgh.
