We found the room tidy, the bed firm, nearby places that looked good for eating, and no offensive smell at the property. That doesn't make up for the stay, though, and I would NOT recommend it for a vacation. I can only hope the few days before we travel on to Ireland are better than this introduction to my room. We arrived exhausted after an overnight train from London, but couldn't check into our reserved room until 3pm. After several tries to get in touch, a gentleman confirmed there was no flexibility on that time. We waited, then stood in the rain reading several emailed instructions to get inside. No one was there to greet us; we eventually found the key in its box. My daughter, son in law and I had to haul our suitcases up narrow, curving stairs to the third floor. There's no lift, and the steps don't give you enough ledge for safe footing while you're holding the rail and carrying luggage. We reached the room breathless. After the train and a day of waiting, we were all looking forward to a relaxing shower. The bathroom was extremely cramped, with a shower space like something in a Recreational Vehicle, and even the ceiling looked that way. The shower drained poorly and had black mold in a corner. Afterward, something, either condensation or a leaky pipe, started dripping onto the little metal rubbish bin under the sink. I wanted to get out of that space quickly, but the sad little towel rolled on the bed was the sort I'd throw out of the shoprag bin after it had already been tossed from the linen closet. Ungh!!!!!

I wouldn't want to stay here again. The room was cramped, and although the shower itself was excellent, its stall was tiny. I wonder whether a larger person could use it comfortably. There was also a strip of wood sticking out from the bathroom door. The bed felt like a cheap spring mattress, and the slightest movement from my partner woke me. The walls are thin enough that you may hear people talking next door.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great, with lots of choice and a cooked option made to your requirements if you wanted it. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy. The place is in a quiet part of the city, around a 10-minute walk from the Castle, with good bus links.

The rooms were cosy and very clean, and breakfast was great with lots of options. We had a lovely warm welcome, saw friendly faces throughout our four nights, and got helpful assistance with whatever we needed. It's in a good, quiet area very close to the city centre. I'd recommend it and would come back to stay again :)

The room was large and professionally finished, and breakfast was good with great service. I stayed two nights and couldn't have happened upon a better quality place. It seemed family-run, and the owners and staff were all very friendly and went the extra mile to help.
