Fountain Court Apartments - Morrison

There’s no elevator, so getting heavy bags up to the third floor could be difficult. Also, Morrison Street apartments don’t have a reception desk. You have to go to groove street for that. The apartment itself was nicely presented and well equipped: hot plates, microwave, mini refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, washing machine with dryer, and cutlery. It had a TV, iron, sofa, table, and free high-speed wi-fi too. Housekeeping was responsive and kept it clean. There are good places to eat close by, the city attractions are walkable, and public transport links are good.

The noise was the main drawback. I could hear people talking and laughing in the street and in the next apartment when I was trying to sleep, and the floor creaked quite a bit. Otherwise, it was convenient to have all the appliances for cooking and airing out laundry. The apartment was very clean, with the service team cleaning it each morning. There was also Wi-Fi and a TV.

Everything you might need day to day was provided, including a hair dryer, iron, microwave, and washing machine. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the Haymarket bus and tram stop is close. I stayed in the one-bedroom apartment. It was just large enough for one person, not more. The three-storey building has no lift, and there’s no reception on site. Reception is a 5-7 minute walk away, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you have lots of luggage. Apart from that, everything was fine.

Really roomy, luxurious apartments for a price that’s still affordable, and the Wi-Fi worked. There’s no breakfast, which might make someone choose a standard hotel instead, but with so many coffee shops around, it wasn’t much of an issue.
