The owner was so kind and polite, and the house itself is beautiful. We paid with a Visa card reader connected to a smartphone app, a system I hadn’t come across before. Our time at this guest house was among the best parts of our Scotland holiday. We’d definitely recommend it!

Bill and Ian were so accommodating during my two-week stay at Garlands Guest House, with a week away in between to visit Paris. The breakfast selection in the lovely dining room was plentiful, and the sunny room made a great start to sightseeing. They knew the historic city well and answered all my questions about the attractions not to miss. The Georgian building is striking but still welcoming, with tasteful décor. My cozy bedroom looked out onto a garden coming into bloom, and the bed and pillowcases were very comfortable. I especially liked the large ensuite and its up-to-date amenities. I highly recommend staying here in Edinburgh.
