Don't let the reviews worry you. If you want a comfortable, clean place without anything too fancy, this is a good choice. The pool can get busy, so manage your expectations for the price and ask staff about quieter times. The bar service is great, though drinks can be pricey, and watch out for the £6 tray charge. Great location and a fab price.

The rooms were clean, tidy, and stocked properly. The location is a short walk from the bus and other activities, with the zoo and park very close, though it's a bit outside the city centre. Some staff were genuinely thoughtful and very nice, but others didn't seem keen to help. I struggled with my luggage and had asked for a trolley, which they didn't have. Someone only offered help once I was picking up the last, lightest tote, after I'd managed everything else. At the bar, the staff were rushing around but no one came to take our order, so I had to order at the bar, then go back for cutlery and drinks and to pay. I wanted to sit and enjoy my meal, but couldn't. Three stars because some of the staff were kind. Otherwise, I would have rated it lower. These things should be easy to fix.

We had a tasty evening meal, a nice way to end the day. Breakfast was more basic, but fair for the price. The room was clean, comfortable, and had what we needed, and the bathroom was tidy and well maintained. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the start, and the location made it easy to explore the area. Good value for money overall.

Maria and the team left a lovely anniversary card in our room, a thoughtful surprise that made the occasion feel extra special. The room itself was cozy, very clean, and comfortable, and the hotel had a relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and care. We really enjoyed staying here and would happily return. Highly recommended!
