We stayed here twice on our Scotland trip, on the first day and then the last two days. The first room, on the top floor, was so small for three people that we could barely fit our luggage. The room we'd booked for the later stay was closed for renovations, so they moved us to a larger ground floor room. That one was better, but the water didn't work properly, and the place could use some work. Both rooms were clean, and the staff helped when we needed something.

We were a bit worried because we booked through "Partner offer" and hadn't received a second email with the code for this self check-in property. When we arrived, a staff member helped us and let us wait until the room was ready, thanks to her. Our room wasn't actually in Park View Hotel, but beside the hotel, in the park view room. It was nice and clean, with a heater, hairdryer, small fans, some coffee and tea, and a TV that worked really well. The water heater worked too, and the toilet was very clean. It was our first visit to this stunning city, and we had a very nice stay in Edinburgh. Thanks, Park View Hotel.

I really liked the whole experience. Getting in and out was smooth, the room was clean, and it had the basic amenities I expected. Nothing to complain about. I'd choose it again.

The location gets 5/5 from me because it's right next to the town centre. The rooms are spacious, but the building and mattresses are quite old, and cleanliness needs a lot of improvement.

Our last day of the trip was spoiled, and everyone in our group left disappointed. The toilet door had a big gap, so the rest of the room could see in and smell the toilet. We were several men and one woman, and she felt really uncomfortable with so little privacy. The building itself felt very old, and the furniture and carpet were dated too.
