The rooms were so clean, cosy, and just right for one or two people. We paid £86 for the night, and the staff were SO friendly. They looked after our luggage while we went out, offered recommendations, and stayed welcoming both days. That level of customer service really makes a difference. Haymarket station was a nine-minute walk away. The main sights were 15-20 minutes on foot, which wasn't too bad, and Uber was easy to get outside. One downside was the tricky temperature controls, and the room felt a bit cold. You can also hear quite a lot of noise, especially when water is running, which could get annoying. Otherwise, I can't fault it. Definitely one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in, and I didn't expect it to be so nice.

I stayed alone for three nights, and the small room size was fine for me. There was an individual AC unit, which would be lovely in summer, but I couldn't find a kettle or fridge in the room. The hotel is nearly next door to the Conference Centre, which made the location very convenient. Breakfast was okay, with pastries, fruit salad and fresh fruit, mini muffins, cold meats and cheese, cereals, hard-boiled eggs, juice, and tea and coffee from a machine. There were also hot ham and cheese pastry parcels, with a vegetarian option. The housekeeping notice said rooms are refreshed every fourth day, so there was no housekeeping during my stay. That suited me, and I didn't check whether it could be requested. Staff were always smiling, warm and helpful. I'd stay again at the right price if I came for another conference.

We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and made us feel welcome. Our room was nice, clean and well maintained, with a good interior. After checkout, we could leave our bags in storage for free and spend extra time relaxing in the lounge, which we appreciated. The bathroom tiles could've been cleaned more thoroughly, and the thin walls meant it was noisy at times. Those were the only downsides for us.

The location was perfect for my work conference, and I loved the room's mood lighting. I felt like I was in a penthouse. The reception team were welcoming and helpful, especially Alexa, and the staff were lovely. I missed having tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but the coffee at breakfast was good enough to make up for it. Such a shame the conference isn't held in Edingurgh every year, as I'd definitely stay again.

I've had another great stay at a Point A Hotel in Scotland. The Edinburgh location is excellent, and the reception and breakfast area feels really inviting. Staff were brilliant and so friendly, and there was a variety of breakfast food. The room was okay, though I couldn't really walk around the very comfortable bed and there was no wardrobe for clothes. It didn't bother me much, but it might matter to others. I'd have preferred warm eggs instead of ice-cold ones. Also, two of the three bananas this morning were black and mushy inside, so they weren't edible. Could anything be done about that?
