My husband and I stayed here after we had to decant our home. I’m a full-time wheelchair user and have a lot of health and housing challenges, so we arrived pretty stressed. The room met my access needs, and from the moment we arrived everyone made me feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. I want to mention Kenneth in particular. He often saw how stressed we were when we came back each day, and his smile and warmth helped us relax. He’s a credit to the hotel, professional, courteous, and with an infectious laugh. One morning, after we’d seen some rude travellers in the foyer or dining room, Kenneth stayed dignified and incredibly polite. I told him afterwards I wouldn’t have been able to hold my tongue like he did. The whole team deserve credit. Thank you to Amanda, Jen, Robin, Max, Debbie, Linda, Hollies, Iwana, Eva, Donna, Ewa, Josh, and Tracy. I’d written Tracy’s name down but, in true Sharon style, left it off my list at first. We’ll miss you all when we go home. I hope this gets passed on to the team, they deserve it.

I like Premier Inn for its convenience, and this one is a good choice if you have a car. I booked without researching much and didn’t travel by vehicle, so getting around was inconvenient. The nearest bus stop is a fair walk away, along a route that didn’t feel safe on foot. Food was tricky too. The restaurant may be fully booked depending on the day, so you need to reserve and can’t just walk in. Without a car, the closest option is McDonalds or ordering through Uber Eats. For easier airport access, the Premier Inn at Edinburgh Park may be a better fit, with the tram there.

The hotel was great, and the rooms were very clean and welcoming. My original room, number 29, did have a problem: the shower and bath control was so stiff I had to force it off. My QR code wouldn’t check me in either, so I had to speak with management. Once that was sorted, check-in and the rest of my stay went perfectly. I even watched planes taking off outside the front of the hotel. I was travelling solo and would come back. I haven’t seen much child entertainment around, though, so families should check online to see what’s running nearby. If you have a driving licence, I’d suggest a taxi or hiring a car. It took me an hour to walk, though I’m used to that. It’s a nice place for a weekend or a week. I’d give it 3.5/5, with points off for the stiff shower and check-in issue.

The staff were lovely and understood allergies well. They even asked whether we’d feel safer with a freshly prepared breakfast instead of eating from the buffet. The girls had a brilliant time downstairs, where the little kids’ corner kept them entertained. Thanks as well for the Easter bags, such a thoughtful gesture. A great stay. The staff make the difference and deserve a pay rise!

I was here for one night on a business trip. The premium room was what you’d expect: clean, fairly basic and with a comfortable bed. Check-in is on a touchscreen, which is fine if you’re comfortable with technology, but some people may struggle. I didn’t think it was right for the receptionist to tell an older couple they had to use the screen and couldn’t be helped. Dinner was basic and the service decent. We were told the restaurant was closing at 8pm with no advance warning, which wasn’t on. It turned out it wasn’t closed, but had a coach party in, and in my opinion that wasn’t okay. It’s fine for what it is, just don’t expect more.
