Our arrival was badly delayed, but we kept the team updated by text and they arranged for someone to meet us with the keys. When we finally got there, a lovely young man named Matthew greeted us at the door and showed us around. He also recommended a fantastic place to eat, so he's made friends for life. The apartment was impressive, stylish and fitted out to a high standard, with plenty of plug sockets, which always matters when travelling. The bedrooms were spacious, the beds and bedding comfortable, and there was lots of storage. In the bathroom, the huge bath could comfortably fit two, and there was a rain shower with a separate head that worked well for washing hair. Towels were soft and plentiful, and quality liquid soap and hand lotion were provided. The enormous living room had a fantastic coal-effect gas fire that took the chill out of December nights. The kitchen was superbly equipped with top-notch appliances, plus a welcoming bottle of milk and jars of tea, coffee and sugar. It was clean, warm and easy to live in. The folder of appliance instructions looked daunting, but everything was quite easy to figure out. Though it was a basement apartment, it had an outdoor area that's useful in summer and didn't feel dark or gloomy. Princes St was just a 10-15 minute walk away. We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend Reserve Apartments based on our experience. It wasn't a budget option, but over New Year it worked out cheaper than many hotels, and was a pleasure to come back to each day.
