I booked the studio through Dayuse.com for 9am to 5pm and arrived an hour early. They offered me breakfast while I waited for the room, and the fresh blueberry croissants were the best breakfast I had on my trip in Scotland. The staff were lovely and very polite. The studio was clean and had everything I needed. As a senior, I also found it easy to walk into the centre and spend time visiting Edinburgh Castle.

The location made it easy to get into the centre on foot, while the nearby park and university food places offered a break from the Golden Mile crowds. The rooms have been refurbished nicely, with gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows and much more space than a typical hotel room. We had no trouble with noise or heat control. Staff were excellent, friendly, and seemed to enjoy their work. Breakfast was fair and reasonably priced, though the choices were limited. Unlimited hot drinks were a nice extra.

I slept really well the whole stay, without interruption. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, and the hotel is ideally placed for walking around, with a supermarket close by. Breakfast had a decent range, but the taste could be better. There weren’t many options that looked especially appealing, and the egg choices were limited.

We had a great stay and would recommend this place for a group of three or four. The room was spacious, and the breakfast selection was great. The only issue was a used towel behind the door on our first day. Service was excellent: Consuela arranged a slightly later checkout because we had a long train ride, and a Nigerian housekeeping staff member was really helpful too.

We only wish we could have stayed longer. We felt completely at home and had a great time. The hotel has been renovated in a modern style and sits at the southern edge of central Edinburgh, so it feels close to the heart of the city without the bustle. Our room was clean, the bed super comfy, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast offered a great mix of sweet and savoury choices. A big hug from Rome, and I highly recommend this top-quality hotel.
