That parking space behind a gate was a godsend, since parking is limited, and we felt safe and secure. The apartment on Laureston Place is in the Old town, about a 10-minute walk from Edinburgh castle and close to the Royal mile. It had some old, worn furniture, but was clean, serviced every day, and had everything we needed. We also got a starter pack of breakfast and snack items, plus fresh milk, which was lovely. There were a couple of minor problems when we arrived, but after I complained, the gentleman at reception sorted them straight away without making excuses. Excellent customer service, so rare! I’d stay again for the location and parking alone.

The team made it clear in each interaction that guest satisfaction mattered to them. The facilities were well organized and worked for both business and leisure, with attention to detail throughout.

We had plenty of room, and although much of the decor was dated, everything worked well. The apartment is close to a grocery store, restaurants, and the main tourist sights. Our family of five booked for August. Check-in was at four, but they took our bags when we arrived at three. We were on the top floor, reached by an old elevator that worked but felt a little rickety. There was no air conditioning, and even with the windows open it was 27 degrees when we woke up, with the radiators still hot. We asked an attendant to check, and he switched the heater over. After that, with the windows open, the room was tolerable. I’d recommend this serviced apartment.

The staff were very helpful, and the apartment was comfortable and clean. It’s close to Grassmarket and Edinburgh Castle.
