The Royal Mile Residence by Reserve Apartments

The Royal Mile location makes it easy to walk to the main tourist sights in very little time, but the flat’s price didn’t match its condition or facilities. The entrance is tucked down a small alley and was hard to find, even with the landlord’s instructions. It has space for four, with three beds and a sofa bed, but the sofa bed mattress and frame were broken and very uncomfortable. The landlord refused to provide a replacement, so we slept badly and had constant back pain. The single bed was comfortable but small, and may not suit a very tall person. The wooden floor was dirty, uneven, worn out, creaked, and sank underfoot. The bedroom closet was a mess, with things scattered around. Wi-Fi was weak and extremely slow whenever it connected. The kitchen had what you’d need to cook, including an oven, but it seemed the previous tenants were expected to leave it clean. The faucet was in poor shape and dripped for a few seconds after being turned off. The toilet wouldn’t flush, the sink was tiny, there was no outlet for a hairdryer, the shelf was half fallen, and the broken bathroom window let in cold air. The living room’s glass window was broken too, though the heating worked fine. It took a day and a half to get a response about these defects, and no solution was offered. If they fixed them, it might be a more viable place, but it would still be expensive.
