Suzanne was fabulous at sorting out our group block and room allocation. We got married in Edinburgh and recommended this hotel to our guests, who had only good things to say. When I visited myself, the rooms seemed comfortable and the location and amenities had a lot of charm, especially the garden terrace. It's a gorgeous hotel and great value. If we didn't live in Edinburgh, we'd certainly stay here ourselves.

The January rate I got was outstanding, and the staff were brilliantly helpful and sunny. The room wasn't huge, but it was clean, well appointed, and had a very comfy bed. A perfect spot if you've got a kid living in Pollock. What's not to love?

We were in town for an open day at the University and the location made everything easy, with the city and campus both a short walk away. The room was amazing. When I asked for a late checkout, the reception team was very happy to arrange it and made us feel welcome the whole time we were there.

The beds and pillows were my favourite part. I have back issues, and this was one of the comfiest hotels I've stayed in. I couldn't wait to get into bed. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the breakfast was really good and high quality. I spent a lot of time looking for a well-reviewed Edinburgh hotel in this price range, so I'm glad I booked here. The tea tray was replenished daily with good teas, hot chocolate and biscuits. The toiletries were lovely too, in large bottles that didn't run out and seemed more environmentally friendly. We took taxis to the centre, about £7 in the morning and £9 in the evening, but the quiet and pleasant surroundings made that worthwhile. We didn't try the bar or restaurant, though the meals sounded delicious and looked reasonably priced. I'd definitely stay again.
