I was here for my 70th birthday present, and the room was absolutely beautiful. We were blown away by the upgrade. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, and the service throughout our stay was fantastic. The food was outstanding, especially the seafood platter, and breakfast had plenty of choice.

The bar and restaurant staff were great, and the food was really nice, though the menu is limited. The room was really nice too, but we didn't have hot water in the sink and there was a stain on the bedding throw, so I took off a star. The fridge was stocked with beer, wine, water and fizzy drinks, plus crisps, nuts and chocolate.

We had a lovely, spacious room, and the staff kindly decorated it for my friend's birthday. She was thrilled. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious, with a brilliant, tasty cocktail selection. The room was a little too warm and the wifi kept dropping out, but otherwise it was a fantastic stay. Amazing hotel, bar and restaurant. A must-visit for food and cocktails in Edinburgh 😋

This is a very small, picturesque boutique hotel, and I love the pinks. The location is great, and the bar is good, with brunch too. But I don't think it's for children, and I probably wouldn't return. There wasn't much for kids; I had to ask for a children's menu, which they printed out, and the cheese and tomato pasta was just tinned chopped tomatoes over pasta, so I sent it back. The lift is tiny and nobody helped with luggage. The corridor was dirty, and the room didn't look as nice as the photos. Breakfast was okay, though I prefer a buffet. Some staff were lovely and friendly, others less so. I emailed ahead about a special celebration and got no reply. They could do a bit more on service and cleaning.

My husband and I had lunch at Tiger Lilly for my 70th birthday today, and the team got all the little touches right. One lovely staff member greeted us, showed us to our table and arranged for a mimosa to be brought over. I think she was Australian, though I didn't catch her name. Another attentive, chatty staff member served us, and I didn't catch her name either. The food was well presented and tasted great. We shared bread, then my husband had the sweet potato bhaji. We both had chicken schnitzel with crusty potatoes in cheese sauce and rocket, which was really tasty. I finished with sticky toffee pudding, which was to die for, and it came with a candle. We had a fantastic afternoon and will definitely be back soon. Thanks so much to everyone xxx
