Virgin Hotels Edinburgh

My partner and I spent the afternoon and evening here for afternoon tea, and the whole experience was awesome. Manager Ed kindly showed us the VIP Suites, which was a cool experience. The hotel is a little gem in my home city of Edinburgh. The only reason it didn't get all five stars was the nearby nightclub. We could hear music until 3:30am.

I wasn't sure what to expect, as I'd never stayed at a Virgin hotel before, but it turned out to be unexpectedly great. The location is terrific, right in the Old Town on a famous street near the castle. The place felt calm and easy, with newly done rooms and hotel spaces that were clean, quiet, and a little quirky in style. Service was faultless: friendly, genuine, helpful staff who kept things low key. Check-in was quick, and checkout and arranging transport were simple. They didn't ramble on, but were still super friendly. Thoroughly recommend.

The service alone earns top marks. I felt like I'd arrived at a luxury hotel with personal staff, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely comfortable. The location also deserves full marks: right in the centre of everything, yet once indoors, it was completely quiet and tucked away. There's a great choice of vegan and plant-based food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so this is an ideal Edinburgh stay for vegans. If we return to the city, we'll definitely stay here again.

The room was warm and very well equipped, the food was amazing, and the location was fantastic. From start to finish, the staff were 10/10. I especially want to thank the Virgin hotel, Edinburgh team for an unforgettable visit. We couldn't make our original dates because of bereavement and illness in the family, but the staff rescheduled us with kindness and professionalism. During our stay, Callum and Liam were so courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The reception team were lovely and naturally friendly, and looked smart in their tartan waistcoats. They're a credit to their boss, Richard Branson. We can't wait to come back soon. Thank you for such a memorable time!
